The goal of Travis County’s CRCG is to meet with families and youth to identify individualized community-based service recommendations.  The CRCG meeting is the first step in building community partnerships with families of children and youth who have complex needs requiring services from multiple organizations and programs.  
    
Children and youth are typically referred to the CRCG meeting by a current service provider, the child’s school, behavioral health clinician, or anyone seeking additional support for a child or youth.  Anyone can make a referral to the CRCG, including a child’s family or the youth needing support.

Travis County’s CRCG serves children and youth residing in Travis County between the ages of 0-22yo who are involved in multiple social service systems (such as special education, child welfare, juvenile justice, or behavioral health services) and have behavioral health, intellectual, developmental, and/or physical challenges significantly impacting their ability to function in their home, school, and/or the community.

 CRCG works with the family and their current service providers to strengthen their child and family’s support systems by bringing together all involved agencies and programs to collaborate in the creation of an individualized list of service recommendations with the hope of expanding the support and services made available to the family. 
 
 CRCG recognizes parents and caregivers are the experts in their children and acknowledges the value of families as partners in supporting a child’s success, while valuing the importance of the family’s culture and traditions.

CRCG works directly with youth with complex needs who are their own decision makers to strengthen their support systems by bringing together all involved agencies and programs to collaborate in the creation of an individualized list of recommendations. • The Children’s Partnership (TCP) – A program specific to Travis County designed to provide behavioral health wraparound services to children with complex behavioral health needs and their families.
• CRCG Care Coordination – A program designed to support youth and families referred to the CRCG meeting who do not have a current service provider to assist them with the completion of the meeting referral and/or additional unmet service needs.
• Waco Center for Youth – Residential Treatment Center operated by the state of Texas. Local CRCGs are able to support the application for admission of youth from their community when the CRCG membership determines sufficient community-based services are not available.
• State level programs for individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (I/DD) – local Community Resource Coordination Groups (CRCGs) can provide support for a child or youth’s application for state-level programs and support when it is agreed the services needed are not available in our local community. 
• CRCG Members are also able to provide access to a variety of local programs, services, and supports.

The first step to make a referral to the Travis County CRCG meeting is to complete our CRCG Meeting Inquiry Form or leave us a voicemail by calling 512-854-4861.  A Travis County CRCG staff member will respond to a schedule time to discuss the child or youth to determine the appropriate next steps.   

the Travis County CRCG membership is comprised of committed representatives of public and private organizations serving our community. They bring their experience, knowledge, and resources to create a continuum of care for children, youth, and families of Travis County.
