The Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program funds housing, infrastructure and social services projects for residents with low and moderate income that live within the Travis County CDBG Service Area, which varies by program year. For the current CDBG Program Year (PY24), this service area includes all of Bee Cave, Creedmoor, Lago Vista, Lakeway, San Leanna, Sunset Valley, Webberville, and West Lake Hills, along with all of the unincorporated areas of Travis County. Residents and non-profit agencies can help determine funding priorities by providing ideas for projects and information about community needs. The service area for ongoing projects funded in prior program years and future projects may vary from the above.
More about CDBG
CDBG funding comes from the U.S. Department of Housing and Community Development. The program provides annual grants on a formula basis to entitled cities and counties to develop viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment, and by expanding economic opportunities, principally for low- and moderate-income persons. Visit the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development website for more information.
