Food Pantry

The Travis County Community Center at Del Valle has a food pantry to provide healthy food to Travis County residents in need. Travis County residents may access any one of the Travis County Community Center food pantries once every 30 days. Food for the household for approximately three days is provided, including fresh and frozen foods. (Food offered varies from week to week depending on availability.)

Food Pantry Hours:

Monday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Tuesday*: 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Wednesday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Thursday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm
Friday: 8:00 am to 4:00 pm

*Opens late on Tuesdays for restocking

To receive a food pantry, come to the Community Center during food pantry hours, complete an application, and present photo identification.

SNAP ("Food Stamps")

The Del Valle Community Center has computers available for people to use to access www.yourtexasbenefits.com to apply for, update, or renew SNAP and other benefits. The Community Center is a partner agency with the Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC). Educational resources to help you access the website and learn about benefits are available.

Additional food and SNAP services may be available at the Community Center through partnerships with other agencies. Please contact the center for more information.

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
