United in Giving
The Travis County United in Giving Campaign is the annual county-wide solicitation to Travis County employees to contribute to the charitable organization of their choice. Employee donations/ contributions can be made in the form of volunteering time and/or giving money to any of the organizations through our fiscal agent, United Way for Greater Austin. This year, our goal is to make an impact in our community by raising funds and awareness through employee-hosted events (i.e. bake sales, cook-offs, volunteer opportunities, information sessions, etc.) and bi-monthly withdrawals from paychecks. Each department is urged to come up with creative ideas to generate as much money and voluntarism as possible in order to reach our goal!

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
