The Intergovernmental Relations Office:

  • serves as a conduit for the Commissioners Court and the county departments
  • works closely with county staff, legislative consultants and legislators to ensure that Travis County’s legislative agenda is communicated in an accurate, effective and professional manner

The Intergovernmental Relations office was established by the Commissioners Court effective October 1, 2008. The Intergovernmental Relations Coordinator works directly for the Commissioners Court under the general direction of the County Judge.

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 12.7 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $34.51.
