The event is a fundraiser for the 2016 United in Giving campaign and will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 (opening day of the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro!) from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

We will charge $5 per guest at the door. Guests will be able to sample foods from all entrants and then vote for their favorites with tickets. Guests will be able to vote on Tastiest Dishes and Most Creative Booth Design. The cooks and the booth that collects the most dollars will earn fame, glory and a cheesy medal.

  • It is free to enter; sign-up as an individual or team. Please complete this form to compete.
  • Select a “country” or theme that your dish(es) will represent. It can just about anything: a country (France,) a region (Middle Eastern,) a culture (Asian,) a blend (Mexitalian) or a play on words (serve salads from “Greenland.”) Be creative and have fun!
  • United in Giving team will provide 2 sealed boxes to each booth: one for Food Votes, one for Booth Votes. The UinG team will take the boxes at the end of the event and will count funds offsite (after the event is over.) Winners will be announced via email and trophies will be awarded at Commissioner’s Court, County Announcements on Tuesday, August 9th.
  • You will be giving samples of your dishes. Entrants are responsible for all sampling materials: small plastic/paper cups, spoons, napkins, etc. The more individuals that can sample your dish, the more potential for votes so smaller samples may be to your benefit.
  • We will provide tables and chairs. Let us know your needs at time of signup. Limit three tables per booth. The rooms will be opened at 9:30 for participant set-up. No exceptions.
  • Please do not plan on preparing your dish in the MFRs/onsite of the event. Please have the ingredients prepped or the dishes fully cooked and ready to serve by the 11:00 a.m. start time. Dishes that are made onsite, like a blended drink or a pancake, are fine.
  • Please be courteous about messes. Please have table clothes and a cover for the carpeted floor under your booth if necessary. You are responsible for cleaning your booth area – including floor and tables – post event.
  • Electricity will be provided. Please make us aware of yours needs on the sign-up form.
  • UinG team will have lots of change.
  • Email [email protected] with any questions, concerns, etc.
