Re: January CATAA-lyst Memo
Date: January 12, 2018

Colleagues,

We're at the beginning of a new calendar year - a time of introspection and goal setting. The County Executives have provided us with the short, mid, and long-term goals for their departments. Please review what they've submitted with a special eye to:
  • Scheduling staff updates with your subcommittees,
  • Requesting agenda items as Court decision points arise;
  • Adding other goals that may fall through the cracks between the County Executives' management stacks
If you will send me and the relevant County Executives your thoughts on the three bullets above, it will help us manage the distribution of work among the County Executives as well as the distribution of the Commissioners Court's time during Tuesday voting sessions and Thursday work sessions. I look forward to using the remainder of January to further hone our shared plans for effectively, efficiently, and equitably serving the people of Travis County.

I've attached both the County Executives' departmental goals (combined in a bookmarked PDF) and the most recent CATAA-lyst. Also for your reference, the County's Vision, Mission, and Goals we developed last year can be viewed on the County website using this link .

Here's to 2018!
