The Honorable Mike Denton

judge denton

Judge Denton has been presiding since January 1999. The Family Violence Court is designed to oversee cases for offenders who have been charged with domestic violence, or violence between intimate partners. The court combines the judicial function with case management, victim assistance and an assessment process.

Judge Denton also manages Veterans Treatment Court (VTC) and Phoenix Court. The VTC utilizes a non-adversarial approach in which the Veterans Court team works together with the Veteran to guide him/her toward successfully attaining their goals, which include sobriety, recovery, and stability. The Phoenix Court assists commercially sexually exploited persons who are considered victims of abuse. The Court Team uses a holistic approach providing comprehensive, community-based services as participants recover from trauma of sex trade.
