Inspecting commercial facilites to ensure that they conform to fire safety standards, implementing burn bans, and educating residents about fire risks and ways to avoid them are all components of the Fire Marshal's fire prevention efforts.

Juvenile Firesetter Intervention Program

Juveniles may be referred to the program by parents, teachers, fire departments, and social service providers. Participation in the program may also be court mandated. Contact our office for an evaluation and free one-on-one class with the juvenile and parent. Read more.

 

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 12.7 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $34.51.
