Filing Documents

The Civil Division offers three different options for filers without an attorney to file their documents.

Attorneys are required to e-file their documents.

Payment Methods

Unless the law provides otherwise, payment for services is made at the time the service is requested.

Payment may be made by:

  • Personal or business check
  • Cashier’s check
  • Money order
  • Credit card (a service fee may be applied)
  • Legalease
  • Direct draft

Forms

If you are e-filing, the forms below must be e-filed into the existing case. The following forms can also be used by self-represented litigants who are filing their paper documents.

When filing, please leave an email address to send the issuance (i.e. the writ, citation, or subpoena you requested) once it is ready.

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 12.7 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $34.51.
