The Honorable Kim Williams, County Court at Law #9

The Misdemeanor Mental Health Court is a court program for people charged with misdemeanors who have a diagnosed mental illness. People in the program agree to court supervision, treatment, and other requirements. If they complete the program and show stability for a set period of time, the State agrees to dismiss their criminal case.
Program
Defendants are released on personal bond with conditions that are agreed to by the State and are supervised by specialized pretrial service officers. Defendants report monthly until their case is dismissed.
