Travis County is currently accepting PID Petitions to create new Public Improvement Districts (PIDs) under the guidance of the PID policy adopted by Travis County Commissioners Court on January 30, 2024 . The PID Petition process contains many detailed requirements. PID Petitioners should read the information presented here thoroughly before beginning the PID Petition process.
Consistent with Chapter 481.009(a), the first step in creating a PID in Travis County is to send a Letter of Intent at least 45 days prior to submitting a PID Petition.
The Petitioner may be required to attend one or more pre-filing meetings or Commissioners Court presentations scheduled by the County.
Please note that an executed and notarized Attachment E - PID Petitioner Affidavit, Attachment F - PID Petition and Attachment G - PID Dissolution Petition must be Hand Delivered to the Planning and Budget Office (700 Lavaca) along with the cashiers check. Please contact [email protected] to schedule a time and date to drop off the PID Petition Form Attachments.
