  • July 1, 2017 for County Clerk cases
  • Jan. 1, 2018 for District Clerk cases

Starting October 25, 2017, The Travis County District Clerk’s office will be accepting efiling of documents for criminal cases. This permissive stage is a chance for us to work on issues prior to the January 1, 2018 deadline.

If any attorney would like to start efiling now, we are ready to accept your filings. We look forward to addressing your questions and concerns so on Jan. 1, 2018, it will be an easier process for all of us.

Questions and/or concerns about efiling:

Call (877) 687-7870 or your EFSP, full list on

REMEMBER: On January 1, 2018, attorneys will be required to file documents in criminal cases except for complaints/indictments as mandated by the Texas Supreme Court and Texas Court of Criminal Appeals.
