Welcome to CONSERVE, Travis County’s website designed to educate and assist you regarding recycling, reuse, diversion, reduction and resource recovery.
Every day, Travis County citizens utilize an incredible amount of resources at work, at play and at home. And we not only pay for these items new, we also pay for the disposal and/or recycling of the items after use. The good news is everyday more practices and programs become available in Austin and all around Travis County to help you be a better steward of those resources. It is our hope this site will help you be better stewards of our workplaces, homes and planet … and maybe even help you think about those resources before you use them.
TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 12.7 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $34.51.
