Dear Jury Panel Member:
Your juror registration form has been reviewed. You are qualified to serve as a juror. You have been assigned to Downtown Austin Community Court. It is your legal duty to report as directed and on time. Failure to report may result in a special appearance before a judge, a substantial fine, and you being rescheduled for jury duty. If an emergency arises that prevents you from reporting, please call (512) 974-4879 or email [email protected] as soon as possible. Any other requests to be excused as a juror may be presented to the judge at the scheduled court appearance time. While Judge Coffey is listed above, a different judge may be assigned the day of the trial.
Do not schedule any additional activities starting on or a business day after the report date. Most trials at Downtown Austin Community Court conclude in one day or less. The dates you provided as conflict dates to serve on jury duty have been accommodated.
Building Location:
The high-level map, below, provides the general roads in the vicinity of the Court which is found within the One Texas Center complex. Please be sure to follow the signage for the court upon entering the complex.
Juror Parking & Court Entrance:
Parking is available in the parking lot at 505 Barton Springs Road at the intersection of South 1st Street and Barton Springs Road. Enter through the parking arm gate to park in the lot and bring in your parking ticket for validation.

Security Screening:
There is security screening at the courthouse like that found at an airport. We recommend that you leave behind any items that may cause an issue like pocketknives, food items, utensils, drinks, and liquids. We will provide coffee and complimentary bottles of water in the Juror Assembly Room.
Clothing:
We ask that jurors dress in business casual attire. Shorts, tank tops, flipflops, or t-shirts with offensive or inappropriate language or pictures are NOT recommended.
The court is a free WIFI site. You may use your electronic devices in court; however, once the jury process begins, laptops and cell phones may not be used.
In the case of inclement weather or any other circumstances that may delay the opening of city departments to include Downtown Austin Community Court, please call 311 to verify hours of operation.
