The District Clerk is prohibited by law from providing you any assistance or instruction on how to fill out forms or what to do after filing a petition.

If you are a Self-Represented (Pro Se) filer, we strongly recommend that you consult an attorney or contact the Travis County Law Library at (512) 854-8677 for filing assistance.

Once you have a completed petition or document, you have two options to file it:

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
