THE PUBLIC HEARING SCHEDULED FOR NOVEMBER 3, 2016 AT THE TRAVIS
COUNTY EAST SERVICE CENTER HAS BEEN RESCHEDULED FOR 6:00-8:00 PM,
DECEMBER 13, 2016 AT DAILEY MIDDLE SCHOOL, 14000 WESTALL STREET,
AUSTIN, TEXAS 78724

This notice is for cancellation of a previously advertised November 3, 2016 Public Hearing for
proposed improvements to FM 969 from FM 973 to Hunter Bend. Travis County, in conjunction
with the Texas Department of Transportation, is proposing to widen FM 969 (MLK Blvd.) from
FM 973 to Hunters Bend Road in Travis County, Texas. Pursuant to Texas Administrative Code,
Title 43, Part 1, Chapter 2, Subchapter E, §2.107 and §2.108 and Code of Federal Regulations,
Title 23, Chapter I, Subchapter H, §771.111 and Title 40, Chapter V, §1506.
This notice advises the public of the cancellation of the Public Hearing that was to be held on
November 3, 2016, beginning at 6 PM, at the Travis County East Service Center, located at 6011
Blue Bluff Road. The cancellation is due to unforeseen circumstances where the Travis County
East Service Center is temporary unavailable for public events. A new Public Hearing date has
been set for Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at Dailey Middle School, 14000 Westall Street,
Austin, Texas 78724 from 6 p.m. – 8 p.m.

The environmental review, consultation, and other actions required by applicable Federal
environmental laws for this project are being, or have been, carried out by TxDOT pursuant to 23
U.S.C. 327 and a Memorandum of Understanding dated December 16, 2014, and executed by
FHWA and TxDOT.

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
