Overview

The Northeast District Plan Working Group (NEDPWG) is composed of 12 staff members from the City ofAustin and Travis County. The group supports the development of the Collaborative Northeast District Plan by providing technical expertise, coordination, and guidance throughout the planning process.
The Working Group meets bi-weekly to review progress, shareupdates, and help shape recommendations that advance equitable outcomes for the Northeast Planning District.
Role of the Working Group
The Working Group serves as the project team responsible for advancing the Northeast District Plan. As outlined in the Working Group Charter, the group:
- Partners with the Community Advisory Committee to engage the public and co-create the vision plan
- Provides guidance and departmental expertise across key topic areas
- Shares relevant updates from City and County departments
- Outlines/structures deliverables
- Reviews and refines planning analysis and recommendations
- Supports coordination across agencies to align efforts and priorities
The Working Group operates using a consensus-based approach to decision-making and centers equity in all aspects of the planning process.
