The Honorable Raúl Arturo González
Judge Raúl Arturo González was elected to the office of Justice of the Peace, Pct 4 Travis County in November 2006. Judge González served as assistant counsel for the State Board of Educator Certification and the Texas Education Agency. He also worked as an Assistant District Attorney in the Travis County District Attorney’s Office for 6 ½ years.
Judge González was born in Austin, Texas and graduated from David Crockett High School in South Austin. He attended and received his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Texas, and later returned to the University of Texas to earn his law degree. He has been licensed to practice law in the State of Texas since 1996.

2025 TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 8.0 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $24.73.
