Al Jackson has 27 years of experience with Travis County Television, with the last 17 years as Media Operations Manager. A native of Columbia, South Carolina, he earned a Bachelors and a Masters of Media Arts from the University of South Carolina. He also did post graduate doctoral work at the University of Texas at Austin.
His experience includes engineering operations at University of South Carolina Television and at KLRU-TV in Austin, giving him a total of 33 years in the television business. His engineering expertise has been crucial to keeping things running smoothly at TCTV.

Thad Yousling

Thad Yousling is an award-winning media producer. A native of Denison, Iowa, he has 28 years of experience in television production and graphic design. Thad joined the county in 1997.

Dale Cornibe

Dale Cornibe is another award-winning media producer at TCTV. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications from Loyola University New Orleans, with a concentration in Broadcast Production. He has 24 years of experience in video production, including multimedia development and audiovisual work. Dale has been with Travis County for 12 years.

Julie Ahearn is the newest award winning media producer at TCTV. She joined the team in 2019 after moving to the Austin area from California. Born in Lufkin, Texas, raised in New Orleans, she brings extensive experience in television, photography and media production to Travis County. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcast Communications from Loyola University New Orleans.

Austin McElroy

Austin McElroy is a County Best Practices Awards nominated media producer with 8 years of experience at Travis County. Austin was born in Houston TX, and has lived in Travis County for as long as he can remember. Austin specializes in highlighting the beautiful landscapes and parks in Travis County to promote health and wellness within the community. He also specializes in capturing history through video interviews which highlight the rich historical background of Travis County.

TAX RATE: TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 8.7 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $22.42.
