Can I take the class online?

No, CES does not offer classes online.

Can I pay with cash, credit/debit card or personal checks?

Payment is ONLY accepted in the form of a Money Order or Cashier’s Check.

Can I register in class without payment, so I can reserve a slot?

  1. For the Alcohol/Drug classes, payment is required at the time of registration in order to secure your slot as spaced is limited.
  2. For the Education classes, you can register over the phone and payment is required the day you show up for your scheduled class.

How late can I show up to register for a class?

  1. For the Alcohol/Drug classes, the cut off times to register are Monday through Thursday until 7pm and Fridays until 3pm as there is required paperwork that must be completed. EXCEPTION: For same day classes, registration ends at 3pm.
  2. For the Education classes, the Phone Center closes at 5pm Monday through Friday.

Can someone else come in to register for the class on my behalf?

No, clients need to register their classes in order to complete the required paperwork and to make sure the class dates and times meet their schedule.

Where can I go to pay for my Education class?

Clients may go to either location to pay for their Education class.

Can I take the class somewhere else?

Yes, for the DSHS (Department of State Health Services) program, you have the OPTION to take the class with another agency.

I’m indigent, how can I get a fee waiver or fee adjustment?

CES is not authorized to waive fees. CES can adjust your fee; however, you will need to provide the follow information to request for a fee adjustment.

I don’t have an ID.

CES will accept the following Photo ID:

  • A Texas Identification card or government issued ID.
  • United States Citizenship Certificate
  • Probation Card
  • Work or School ID

Is there childcare?

CES does not provide childcare and children are not allowed in CES offices.
