Participating Dealers may visit the TCEQ site for additional information and for program and marketing materials and other important contacts.
Eligible Vehicles
Eligible Vehicles Must Meet the Following Requirements:
- Must be certified to a federal Tier 2 Bin 5 or cleaner Tier 2 Bin standard or to a federal Tier 3 Bin 160 or cleaner Tier 3 Bin standard (see the list: model year 2018[7], 2017[8], 2016[9], 2015[10])
- have an odometer reading of not more than 70,000 miles, and
- Cannot cost more than
- $35,000, before tax, title, and license, or
- $45,000 for a hybrid vehicle, electric, vehicle, natural gas vehicle or a vehicle certified to meet or exceed federal Tier 2 Bin 3 or cleaner Tier 2 Bin certification or Tier 3 Bin 85 or cleaner Tier 3 Bin certification of current or up to three model years old; before tax, title and license.
- Must be purchased through a participating dealer
Attention Repair Facilities
Want to become a DPS Certified, Recognized Emissions Repair Facility? More information is available on the Texas Department of Public Safety website. To become a Participating Repair Facility you must have a signed participation agreement with Travis County to accept vouchers issued by AirCheck Texas - Travis County.
