Proposed Compensation

The Compensation Committee has recommended three priorities to the Commissioners Court for Fiscal Year 2022.

  1. Funding the results of the Benchmark Project currently being performed by the Human Resources Management Department.
  2. Funding an across-the-board increase for employees on the classified pay scale.
  3. Implementing a change to the classified pay scale.

Additionally, a working group has been working on a revision to the Peace Officer Pay Scale (POPS) and funding for the implementation of the new scale, as well as a step increase, has been included in the Budget Guidelines.

All compensation changes must be approved by the Commissioners Court during the budget process.
