Defendants – General Information

Plaintiffs – Writ of Possessions


If you are a plaintiff seeking a Writ of Possession, this section will guide you through the process of obtaining and enforcing the writ. Learn about the necessary steps to recover property following a judgment in your favor.

It will take a few days for the court to send over the issued writ after your request is filed. Once we receive it, our deputies will post the defendant’s 24-hour notice to vacate as soon as possible.

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 12.7 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $34.51.
