Just an update, the following is the anticipated schedule leading up to a decision by the Commissioners Court on inclusion of the CA/DA merger in the our legislative agenda:
- 10/11 Work Session – Receive stakeholder input on the proposed merger of the County and District Attorneys’ Offices
- 10/16 Voting Session – No Action item to receive staff analysis
- 10/23 Voting Session – although we will vote the Legislative Agenda that day, I suggest we have a separate No Action item to receive more staff analysis
- Skip any discussion of the merger on 10/30 and 11/6 (Election Day)
- 11/13 Voting Session – Take Action on including creating a Criminal District Attorney’s Office in legislative agenda
