The Civil Courts have Moved!

On February 6, 2023, the Civil Courts moved to the new Travis County Civil and Family Courts Facility located at 1700 Guadalupe Street, Austin, Texas, 78701. Please visit the new CFCF website here.

Unless otherwise agreed by the parties and properly announced, or notified by the Judge, ALL contested hearings and trials are in person at the new CFCF at 1700 Guadalupe Street.

District Court

The District Civil Courts have original jurisdiction in all divorce cases, cases involving title to land, election contest cases, and civil matters in which the amount of money or damages involved is $200 or more. TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
