A notice of violation from a code enforcement office is a legal document that informs property owners or tenants that they are in violation of certain codes, laws, or regulations. It usually includes a description of the violation, the specific code or regulation that was violated, and a deadline for correcting the violation.

Once a notice of violation is issued, the property owner or tenant must take corrective action within the deadline specified in the notice. Failure to do so can result in fines, penalties, and legal action.
