REQUEST FOR FEEDBACK ON
TRAVIS COUNTY ADA TRANSITION PLAN PRIORITIES
People with disabilities, and all others, are welcome to enjoy the benefits of Travis County programs, parks, and facilities, and many use Travis County services today. The County is developing an Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) Transition Plan, and your feedback is requested.
All parks and facilities owned or operated by Travis County are the subject of this Transition Plan. A transition plan describes:
• the access issue,
• a solution to the issue,
• who is responsible for barrier removal,
• by when barrier removal will occur, and
• a cost reference for planning purposes.
Our consultant is the Accessibility Practice of The WT Group, LLC (WTG). WTG provides professional access, architecture, and engineering consultation across the US.
Counties use many factors to create an order of retrofit for parks and facilities. Your feedback will help us identify your priorities and that will help us create a better Transition Plan.
Two events are planned. One is by Zoom and one is in-person.

Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at the Travis County Administration building at 700 Lavaca in Austin. Free parking is available on the Lavaca side of the parking garage. The meeting will be held in the ground floor multi-function room. Covid protocols will be closely followed.
