Due to winter weather conditions, all Travis County offices and facilities will open at 10 a.m. Friday, December 8, 2017. This includes Travis County Courts.

The public should avoid traveling unless absolutely necessary. Travis County will continue to monitor conditions and will provide updates as they become available.

The County will include #atxwx and #txwx in most social media posts. Additionally, updates will be posted on the County’s website at www.traviscountytx.gov and www.traviscountytx.gov/emergency-services.

Decisions about Travis County delays and closures are made based on the best available information that officials have at the time. Weather forecasts, road conditions and other warnings are subject to change that can be sudden. For information on school delays and other governmental offices, monitor those organization communication channels and local media.

 

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
