On April 18, 2016, at 8:40 p.m., STAR Flight rescued a man who drove around a barricade on Bitting School Road. He was not injured. Following the rescue, the Travis County Sheriff's Office took the man into custody for disregarding the barricade and transported him to Booking.
On the evening of Monday, April 18, STAR Flight rescued two patients near Dime Box in Lee County. The patients were in their vehicle and surrounded by moving and fast rising water.
