The Travis County Archives will be featured on “Who Do You Think You Are?” this weekend. Comedian Aisha Tyler, co-host of “The Talk,” visits the Archives and learns about an ancestor who, as a politician, struggled to keep his illegitimate son a secret. “Who Do You Think You Are?” airs at 8:00 PM Sunday, April 3.
TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
