Travis County and City of Manor will be hosting a Monthly Electronics Recycling Collection Event. The collection will be held on Saturday, April 2nd. The collection will run from 10:00 am- 1:00 pm and will be held at Manor City Hall. This event will be open to the public. No Travis County or City of Manor residential verification is needed.

The electronics will be collected by Commodity Recycling Solutions LLC of Fort Worth, Texas. The event is arranged by Central Texas RC&D, performed with funds from a Texas Commission on Environmental Quality enforcement action.

Commodity Recycling Solutions ensures that all electronics accepted will be properly recycled according to current Environmental Protection Agency and Texas Commission for Environmental Quality guidelines.

Items to be collected include computer monitors (CRTs and LCDs); computer towers and bases (CPUs); mice, keyboards and speakers; notebook computers; printers; televisions (one per household). The items will be collected free of charge.

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
