Travis County, in conjunction with the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT), welcomes you to a public hearing on January 14, 2016 at Menchaca Elementary School at 5:00 pm concerning proposed improvements to FM 1626 from Brodie Lane to FM 2304 (Manchaca Road). The purpose of this public hearing is to provide you with information and to obtain your comments on the proposed project. Project information is attached and the last page is for your use in submitting written comments.

Please feel free to examine the exhibits on display from 5 to 6 p.m. Project staff members will be available to answer your questions during this time. A technical presentation will begin at 6 p.m. followed by the comment period.

Submitting Comments

If you wish to share comments on the proposed project, please use one of the methods below. Comments may be presented for a period of 10 days following the hearing and all comments will be taken into consideration during future project development.

Verbal Comments

  • Visit the court reporter during the open house or after the presentation
  • To present verbal comments publicly, please sign-up to speak at the court reporter’s station

Written Comments

  • Complete the written comment card at the hearing

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
