The Flood Assistance Center (FAC), at Dove Springs Recreation Center, will remain open to service flood survivors in Austin and Travis County until Saturday, Nov. 14, or longer if needed.

The FAC hours will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. through Tuesday, Nov. 10, and from 3:30 to 7:30 p.m. from Wednesday, Nov. 11 through Saturday, Nov. 14.

Over the weekend, the Center served an average of 74 households daily, including an average of 32 new households daily.

Over the coming week, some services offered at the FAC will transition to regular service locations. Information about service locations will be available at the FAC or by dialing 3-1-1 or 512-974-2000.

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 12.7 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $34.51.
