This week, young cancer patients from hospitals across Texas and Louisiana are attending the Sunshine Kids Foundation 25th Annual Teen Lake Escape in Lago Vista. July 31, from 9 to 11:00 a.m., the children are scheduled to participate in a hands-on law enforcement and first-responder demonstration provided by the Travis County Sheriff's Office, STAR Flight, Austin-Travis County EMS, Travis County Parks, Jonestown Police Department, Balcones Wildlife Refuge Fire, and ESD1 Fire.
The event’s location is Mattress Max’s (MacInvale) house located at 809 Ivean Pearson.
Directions: Take 1431 from Cedar Park and turn left on Lohman’s Ford in Lago Vista. Approximately 5 miles south on Lohman’s, turn left on Ivean Pearson. Mattress Max’s will be on the left after about a mile. Fire apparatus will be parked in front of the residence.
