The County Judge's office is the recipient for all correspondence from a number of state agencies. Chief among those is the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). TCEQ documents are then forwarded to the Natural Resources and Environmental Quality (NREQ) division of the Transportation and Natural Resources (TNR) department.

Because many of these documents are not easily accessible to the public (most are not available electronically), we are going to begin to catalog these documents and post a summary on this message board every two weeks.

County staff and the public may then request to inspect any of these documents by setting up an appointment with NREQ staff. TNR can be reached at 512-854-9383.
