Thank you to the  PIO office for sharing these  Key Messages: about the vaccine. in an easy to cut and paste format.    Share!!!

Please be patient. Vaccine availability is severelylimited.
  • COVID-19 vaccine is extremely limited nationally, regionally, and across the state.
    Please be patient as more vaccine comes available.
  • At this time, Austin Public Health has received enough vaccine to serve less than 2% of the Austin-Travis County population.
  • The State is currently prioritizing:
o  Phase 1A which includes healthcare workers,residents and staff of long-term care facilities; and o  Phase 1B which includes individuals over 65, andthose under 65 with chronic underlying health conditions.APH Vaccine Registration – the basics.
  • There are currently no available appointments.
  • Residents are still encouraged residents to register in the system and will be notified once appointments become available.
  • Go to AustinTexas.gov/covid19-vaccines to begin the process.
Having difficulty logging into your account?
  • The Vaccine Registration System is the same as the COVID-19 Testing
    System.  If you’ve registered for COVID-19 Testing, the account
    information is the same.
  • Once your account is established, if you have difficulty logging back into your
    account, under User Name, add “.aph” to the end of your email address
    (example: [email protected] ) This should resolve the issue.
 What should I do if I am not 1A or 1B?
  • We are focused on our most vulnerable populations.
  • In the meantime, it is okay to sign up or register for more than one vaccine
    lists so that you can be notified when the vaccine becomes available to
    you.
We Need Your Help! Practice the 3 Ws – Wear a mask, watchyour distance, wash your hands
  • Today is the highest 7-day moving average of new cases since the pandemic began.
COVID-19 is still rapidly spreading through the community.It is critical to continue to wear masks, wash your hands frequently, and
maintain six feet of distance from other. Please stay home as much as possible
to limit the spread of the virus.
