Project Background
Serene picnic areas, a cricket field, multi-use sports fields, a world class BMX track and one of the largest skate parks in Texas are all waiting for you at Travis County’s Northeast Metropolitan Park. On this 420-acre parkland, you’ll also find playgrounds, group shelters, picnic tables with grills and a splash-pad area. Along with a two-mile paved multi-use trail that follows along Gilleland Creek, which is ideal for biking, jogging or walking while observing nature.
In the 2017 Bond Election voters approved funding for the conversion of 4 grass soccer fields to synthetic turf fields.

Synthetic turf on 4 soccer fields and 4 baseball fields including engineering and construction. Design, engineer and construct a new maintenance facility.
