Ariane comes to the Travis County Public Defender's Office from the Federal Public Defender for the Western District of Texas, where she was the Mitigation Specialist for the past eight years. Prior to this, Ariane was the Social Services Director at the Texas Civil Rights Project and a Mitigation Specialist at the Office of Capital and Forensic Writs. Before returning to her home state of Texas, Ariane was a Social Worker and then the Social Work Supervisor at the Bronx Defenders. Ariane holds a MSSW from Columbia University as well as a BA in anthropology from Northwestern University.
