Lety was born and raised in Georgetown, TX, and received her B.A. in Spanish and French and a minor in Communications at Stephen F. Austin State University (SFA) in 2017. Afterwards, she returned to the Austin area and worked for Casa Marianella, an emergency homeless shelter for displaced immigrants.

Shortly after she started to work as a paralegal for Austin Community Law Center, a local nonprofit law firm focusing on making legal representation more affordable. In 2020 Lety decided to return to school for her master's and received an MIS in Public Administration, Mass Communication, Business, and Hispanic Studies from SFA in 2022.

She is passionate about helping others understand their rights and advocating for them. Lety is excited to join the Travis County Public Defender’s Office team.
