Notice of hearing regarding NEXWASTE LLC’s request for a variance to allow the siting
of a solid waste transfer station within 350 feet of individual residences
Travis County has received a request from NEXWASTE LLC for a variance from Travis County Code Chapter 312, which requires that minor solid waste facilities be located at least 350 feet from individual residences. The location of the NEXWASTE LLC’s proposed facility is 9110 S. U.S. 183 Hwy, Austin, Texas 78747.
The Travis County Commissioners Court will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 at or after 9:00 a.m. in the Commissioners Courtroom in the Travis County Administration Building (First Floor), 700 Lavaca Street, Austin, Texas 78701 to receive comments on NEXWASTE LLC’s request for variance. Any interested person may provide comments at the public hearing.
