02/04/2022 – Today Travis County Judge Andy Brown signed Travis County Judge Severe Weather Order No. 2022-01, declaring a local disaster for Travis County pursuant to chapter 418 of the Texas Government Code, section 418.108. The state of local disaster shall continue for a period of not more than seven days from the date of this declaration unless continued or renewed by the Commissioners Court of Travis County, Texas.

ExpiredTAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
