Travis County Tax Assessor
The Countdown Is On! Donít Miss the October 9, 2012 Deadline
Citizens have seven more days to register to vote for the November 6 Presidential Election.
With the Tuesday, October 9, 2012 deadline looming, Travis County voters are encouraged to review their current voter registration record online at traviscountytax.org or contact the Voter Registrar’s office at (512) 854-9473 to make sure they are registered to vote at the correct address.
“Our Register U+2 campaign is based on a phenomenon we experience every election. We receive many calls from people who don’t even think about their voter registration until they see their friends and family members are headed to the polls,” said Travis County Tax Assessor-Collector and Voter Registrar, Tina Morton. “If you don’t act now to register, it may be too late. By registering yourself, and helping your friends and family members register to vote at the same time, you can be a part of this democracy.”
It is easy to participate in the U+2 campaign by picking up a few extra voter registration applications or including a link to the printable application in an e-mail, text, tweet, or Facebook post.
