ITS Goals

  1. Ensure anytime, anywhere access to county government:  Maintain all infrastructure systems in an operational state to support daily business needs of individual county departments.
  2. Provide information availability and security:  Secure infrastructure to protect county resources and user department data from unauthorized access.
  3. Increase county workforce effectiveness: Expand operational productivity and efficiency via modifications to existing applications and/or implementation of new technology.
  4. Enhance county service delivery:  Continuous improvement and expansion of central services for all systems residing on Travis County network.

ITS Work Plan

Successful ITS initiatives in Fiscal Years 2010-2012 (such as computer replacement, server consolidation, enterprise licensing, and web content management) and investments in powerful, state-of-the-art enterprise systems (Unified Communications and Interactive Voice Response) helped strengthen the County’s technical infrastructure. ITS is committed to focusing on technology solutions that will improve processes and facilitate stronger relationships with all county departments. The ITS 2013 WorkPlan reflects our commitment to improving technology services, demonstrates our business objectives and details our major projects.
