Domestic Relations Office

The Domestic Relations Office receives, records, and passes on child support payments for parents whose court orders originated in Travis County. The Guardian Ad Litem program provides investigation and court testimony in custody disputes.

Juvenile Public Defender

The Juvenile Public Defender's Office represents juveniles ages 10-16 who have been accused and asked to appear in juvenile court.

The Office of Child Representation

The Office of Child Representation provides legal representation and case management for children who are involved in Child Protective Services cases.

Office of Parental Representation

The Office of Parental Representation provides a voice for indigent, primary parents who have had their children removed or are at risk of having their children removed by The Texas Department of Family and Protective Services due to allegations of abuse/neglect.

TAX RATE: TRAVIS COUNTY ADOPTED A TAX RATE THAT WILL RAISE MORE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS THAN LAST YEAR’S TAX RATE. THE TAX RATE WILL EFFECTIVELY BE RAISED BY 3.5 PERCENT AND WILL RAISE TAXES FOR MAINTENANCE AND OPERATIONS ON A $100,000 HOME BY APPROXIMATELY $9.12.
