New Program Benefiting Unemployed Veterans

Are you between the ages of 35 and 60? Are you currently unemployed, but willing to start a new career? The Veterans Retraining Assistance Program (VRAP) could help you get back to school to receive the training you need. The program is extremely limited but is still taking applications through September 20, 2012, and the VRAP will then begin another round of applications in October. Check out this blog to get additional information and see if you qualify.

Stipends for Family Caregivers

The Comprehensive Assistance for Family Caregivers program provides training for family caregivers. Family caregivers will receive an average $1,600 in monthly stipend payments and other benefits.

New Law Exempts Disabled Veterans from Property Tax

Are you a homeowner and disabled veteran? Do you know a neighbor, friend or family member who is a disabled veteran and who owns his or her own home? Veterans who are 100% disabled or unemployable as determined by the US Department of Veterans Affairs may qualify to receive a total exemption for property taxes.
