Development Services
Travis County Development Services oversees guidelines, procedures and permits for all development outside corporate city limits in Travis County. Development is defined as any man-made changes to improved or unimproved real estate, including but not limited to structures or other buildings, driveways or other work in the county right-of-way, septic systems, mining, dredging, filling, grading, paving, excavation or drilling operations and the division of land.
Development Services is also responsible for floodplain management, inspection of construction activities, and regulates subdivisions in the unincorporated areas of Travis County in partnership with other jurisdictions and agencies.
