National Voter Registration Day Drive
You’re invited to celebrate National Voter Registration Day, Tuesday, September 25. Travis County voter registration will conduct a drive from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. at 5501 Airport Blvd. The deadline for the November 6 Presidential Election is Tuesday, October 9, 2012.
Travis County enjoys the highest voter registration rate (78%) among urban counties in Texas. This year, the Voter Registrar’s office launched the U+2 campaign to register 650,000 voters by the end of September.
“With over 607,000 Travis County citizens currently registered to vote, we are confident that National Voter Registration Day will help us reach our goal,” said Travis County Tax Assessor-Collector and Voter Registrar, Tina Morton. “We are challenging Travis County citizens to register themselves and help two other citizens register to vote. It is as simple as picking up extra voter registration applications or including a link to the printable application in an e-mail, text, tweet, or Facebook post.”
If you are new to Travis County or you have moved since the last time you voted, you must update your voter registration record by the deadline. Travis County voters can review their current voter registration record online at TravisCountyTax.org, or contact the Voter Registrar's office by telephone at (512) 854-9473.
