Register U+2 Results Are In! Travis County Voter Registration Reaches Over 81,600 New Voters
Get Involved! U+2 Campaign Seeks Volunteers
The October 9, 2012 deadline to register for the November 6 Presidential Election resulted in 81,624 new registered voters for a total of 634,931 registered voters. This brings the percentage of eligible citizens who are registered to vote to 81.48%.
"Efforts to register Travis County citizens through our Register U+2 campaign have encouraged everyone to get involved in registering voters,” said Travis County Tax Assessor-Collector and Voter Registrar, Tina Morton. “We would especially like to thank all our Volunteer Deputy Registrars who worked long hours to reach out and register voters, along with citizens who took the time to pass along voter registration applications to friends and family members."
