Residents can also visit the Austin/Travis County Health and Human Services Animal Control website.
The Austin/Travis County Health and Human Services Department’s Animal Protection program defends threatened animals from abuse or neglect.
We also work closely with law enforcement to contain or help aggressive animals that threaten the community.
This program serves city of Austin residents and Travis County residents who live in unincorporated areas of the county.
To report public safety concerns or ask questions regarding the animal protection program please call 311 if you live in the city of Austin.
If you reside in an unincorporated area of Travis County, please call 974-2000.
